At #TeamKBO, we’re thrilled to offer expert organizing services led by a Certified

Professional Organizer®. Last Thursday marked an exciting milestone for me personally as I began my term as President-Elect of the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO). This role represents my dedication to raising the bar in the organizing profession and supporting the next generation of organizers.

While some of our team members are not yet Certified Professional Organizers, they are talented professionals who aspire to the same high standards. They are actively working toward certification by gaining hands-on experience, learning organizing essentials, and meeting the rigorous requirements to sit for the exam. Together, we share a commitment to creating organized spaces that truly work for you.

Let’s take a closer look at what makes the CPO designation stand out in the organizing industry.

Expertise and Education

Certified Professional Organizers don’t just tidy up—we bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. To achieve certification, CPOs must understand organizing fundamentals and methodologies, accumulate significant hands-on experience, and pass a rigorous exam. This ensures we have the skills to tackle even the most complex organizing challenges with confidence and creativity. For clients, this means working with someone who understands the "why" behind clutter and can design systems that work specifically for their needs.

Commitment to Lifelong Learning

To maintain their certification, CPOs must earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for every recertification cycle, ensuring their knowledge and skills remain up to date. This commitment benefits clients by bringing fresh, effective solutions to every project and ensures we stay current in the organizing industry.

Professional Standards

CPOs adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, which emphasizes integrity, transparency, and respect. This means no pressure sales, no hidden agendas, and no one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, CPOs focus on what’s best for the client, offering honest recommendations tailored to their unique needs. You deserve to hire someone who prioritizes your trust and satisfaction above all else.

Trust and Confidentiality

Organizing often involves handling sensitive or personal items, and like all NAPO members, CPOs approach this with care and discretion. Whether it’s sorting through legal documents, heirlooms, or emotionally charged spaces, CPOs create a safe, judgment-free environment for their clients. Your privacy is paramount, and we are trained to respect that every step of the way.

Industry Leadership

CPOs are leaders in the organizing profession, setting the benchmark for excellence. Many, like myself, contribute to the industry by mentoring aspiring organizers, serving on boards, or advocating for higher standards. As the current President-Elect of the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers, I’m proud to play a role in advancing the profession and supporting the next generation of organizers.

What This Means for You

At Kelly Brask Organizing, we’re passionate about helping you create spaces that work for your life. Whether you’re working with me or one of our talented team members, you can trust our commitment to bring expertise, care, and lasting solutions to every project.
