Join Our Team
We’re hiring! If you love creating calm, functional homes and you’re the kind of person who can be both compassionate and practical, you might be a great fit at Kelly Brask Organizing (KBO).
We’re a Chicago-based team led by Certified Professional Organizer® Kelly Brask. For more than a decade, we’ve helped hundreds of Chicagoland clients declutter, make confident decisions, and build sustainable systems that support real life (not Pinterest-perfect life).

A quick note about the role (please read)
This is part-time, variable-hour employment. Client demand fluctuates—some weeks are busy, others are lighter—so while we ask for minimum availability, we cannot guarantee a set number of hours each week.
We’re also looking for someone who wants to grow with our team long-term. If your goal is to learn professional organizing for a year and then launch a competing business, this won’t be the right fit.

What you’ll do
As a Professional Organizer with KBO, you’ll work in clients’ homes across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, helping transform spaces and reduce stress. Most sessions are one-on-one with a client, and some projects include a small team.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Collaborate with a Lead Organizer during client sessions
-
Sort items and support clients in making informed, non-judgmental decisions
-
Set up and refine organizing systems that are realistic and easy to maintain
-
Research and recommend organizing products and related services
-
Assist with donation drop-offs (as needed)

What we’re looking for
You’ll do well in this role if you’re:
-
Naturally organized, with strong attention to both the big picture and the details
-
Warm, calm, and able to empathize with clients without judgment
-
A clear communicator (in person and in writing)
-
Comfortable working in a variety of home environments
-
Physically able to be on your feet for 4+ hours and do some lifting

Bonus points if you have:
-
Customer service experience
-
Experience with Google Workspace tools

Schedule + availability
-
Part-time employee role with a flexible schedule
-
Primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend opportunities
-
Minimum availability: two days per week (availability does not guarantee hours)

What we offer
-
Competitive pay, based on experience
-
Employer-sponsored 401(k)
-
Comprehensive training so you feel confident in our approach, standards, and client experience
-
Meaningful work with clients who truly value the change you help create
